Currently Available for Public Comment

• Public Comment is being held on the draft "Description Set Profiles: A constraint language for Dublin Core Application Profiles" from 31 March through 28 April 2008. Interested members of the public are invited to post comments to the DC-ARCHITECTURE mailing list, including "[Public Comment]" in the subject line.

Forthcoming Public Comment Periods

• Public Comment is planned for a revised version of Expressing Dublin Core metadata using XML in 2008.

Past Public Comment Periods (last 12 months)

• Public Comment was held from 5 November to 3 December 2007 for the Proposed Recommendation Expressing Dublin Core metadata using HTML/XHTML meta and link elements. As of January 2008, finalization of this specification as a DCMI Recommendation depends on the completion of an accompanying note on the differences between these and previous specifications with guidance on backwards compatibility.
• Public Comment was held from 2 to 30 July 2007 on revised versions of Domains and Ranges for DCMI Properties and Revisions to DCMI Metadata Terms. These documents have been finalized as http://dublincore.org/documents/2008/01/14/domain-range/ and http://dublincore.org/usage/decisions/2008/dcterms-changes/, and the results have been incorporated into DCMI Metadata Terms.
• Public Comment was held from 2 to 30 April 2007 on the DCMI Abstract Model and the specification Expressing Dublin Core metadata using the Resource Description Framework (RDF). These specifications have been finalized as http://dublincore.org/documents/2007/06/04/abstract-model/ and http://dublincore.org/documents/2008/01/14/dc-rdf/.
